Such a Treat

Today I flipped through MK's new People magazine and found an ad for doggie treats. I decided to change the message just a little bit.

Sippy Cup

Every night Eliza Grace has to have her sippy cup full of yogurt. Tonight I attached an I Love You label to Eliza's cup before MK filled it up.

Go Deejai

Date Night. We are on a roll.
Cameron and Eliza spent the night with Nana and Poppi tonight and we took full advantage. We tried a new restaurant, Deejai. This place didn't have high chairs stacked 8 deep at the front door or crayons and placemats tied to each menu. This was an upscale Thai restaurant and it was great. We sat outside alone and it was beautiful. The best dinner experience we have had in a very long time. Afterwards, we drove over to Queens rd west and Selwyn Rd. the site of Hope for Sydney. We showed our support for Sydney and 24 hours of Booty. Wonderful and meaningful evening.
Lord knows I love my kids but I also love being alone with my wife.

MK is always the one to turn the front porch light on so I placed a note on the switch which read:

I wrote I love you on a label and stuck it to MK's pillow while we were in bed. After a couple of minutes she turned over and saw the note beside her head.

Lucky I'm in Love with My Best Friend

We were listening to some songs on the Ipod in our kitchen and Jason Mraz Song Lucky came on. MK said she loved the song and it should be our new song. A little bit later I grabbed a pencil and wrote Lucky I'm in Love with My Best Friend on the kitchen counter.

Date Night Hangover

DATE NIGHT! we did dinner and a movie and had a great time together. We saw The Hangover which was "laught out loud funny". Is was great to not have to worry about anything except being next to eachother and having a good time.

An Email for MK

I LOVE YOU. we had a good day today but it would have been great with you. We are all in the bed because Cameron fell asleep on the movie and Ms. Lady took a nap in the middle of the day. You don't have to feel like you have to call. We love you and miss you and wish you a good night and sweet dreams. Give yourself a kiss for me

Missed Message

I changed my voicemail today to say:

You have reached Cotie . I'm unable to come to the phone at this time. Please leave your name, number, and a brief message and I will return your call as soon as possible. If this is Mary Katherine, I love you and miss you so much. Talk to you soon.

Security! Security!

Today MK left for the Airport, however when she arrived the security terminal was under construction. The 2 hours earlier than departure time didn't seem to matter. MK and about 30 other passengers ended up missing their flights. So, I was initially frustrated at the situation but quickly became happy with the idea of having another night with my wife.

I Missed...for Good Reason

Tommorrow MK is leaving for Boston for her sister's 40th birthday party. Tonight I left a little something for her to find in the morning.

Family Portrait

Tonight the kids and I painted a picture for MK. We painted: Daddy Loves Mommy. When MK came home from work we showed her our masterpiece.

MK cooked tonight and I had dish. After I finished the dishes I left MK a note on the counter:

3 day Weekend Together

The dealership closed this weekend and now it's time for me to head back to work. I gave MK the following message:

4th of July Fun

Today we attended Charlotte Symphony Summer Pops Concert at South park Mall with Fireworks with Cameron and Eliza. It was a great time as a family and before we headed out I gave MK a romantic 4th of July Card. It's amazing, you can find a greeting card for all occasions.

I kept the kids today for most of the day and we made a stop by the craft store. There we picked up a couple of things and I grabbed a craft to make for MK. I produced this wonderful piece below.
